Desperation - A Love Story : Episode 3

Hi Friends! This is the third episode of My story "Desperation". As you have read that Max finally told Jones about the reason of his desperation, it's time for Jones to react. A bit of drama will be added here also. Please read this third episode of the series.

Chapter 3: The Island

Jones was quite stunned by this story of Max, but then he finally controlled his emotions and asked, “Max, you never told me about this, then why are you telling it to me now”? Max told, “I never felt it like telling it to someone since it was a very painful secret of my life. But now when I was seeing this beautiful couples dancing with each other, I felt a pain in my heart, I felt my desperation overcoming me. So, I told it to you so as to overcome my desperation”. Jones told, “No problem at all, my friend, I am always with you and I will help you search your perfect one”. Max seemed consoled by his words.

Alison was standing nearby them and she overheard the whole conversation between Max and Jones. She was quite impressed by Max’s life. She came near those guys and asked Max to dance with her. Jones told him to go so as to forgot about his grief. So, Max agreed to dance and went on the floor with Alison. They started dancing. Alison was looking into his eyes. She was searching for the desperation in his eyes. Max asked, “What’s your name”? “Alison Fernandez, and your”, told Alison. “Max Brown”, said Max. “So, Mr. Brown where are you from”, asked Alison. “I am from East Princeton University”, told Max. “And you”, he asked Alison. “I am from West Eve University”, told Alison. Then they continued dancing. Jones also found Annie free and so asked her to dance with him and they started dancing. It was late night and they all took their dinner. Then they sat in the outer lawn and talked all night. Finally, they decided to meet the next day and planned a trip to beach and then departed to their rooms. The next day, they once again meet again in the lobby area of hotel and departed for the beach. It was now a change, Max was busy with his newly added friends of his big friend circle, and so, he was not having any time to think about his desperation. He was enjoying this beautiful moment and was quite happy. They reached the beach and started to run on the sand. It was very much fun thing for them. They swam in the sea and also enjoyed some delicious sea food at a nearby stall at beach. This was the most beautiful moments of Max’s life as after he departed from Mia, he never felt that much happy as he was at that time. Finally, they came back to hotel and luckily to their surprise, hotel had arranged a surprise party for their guests since they had admitted a record amount of guests in their hotel this season. They all were now too good friends. They were behaving as if they knew each others for years. They enjoyed the dinner and then talked all night. Max enjoyed the presence of Alison and felt the resemblance of her with Mia. So, he wanted to know more about her. So, he started talking with her. When they met he talked to her directly and when they were not together he talked to her on hotel intercom. But, he wasn’t accepting it as love. In his words, “I am just trying to know more about her”, he said to Jones. “But, why are you considering only her. Why not Annie or Linda or Sonny? Max, I am your friend and moreover I am your personal diary. I know everything about you, and, I know that it is not just curiosity”, Jones answered. Max had no answer but he said, “Please Jones, believe me”. “I believe you my friend”, replied Jones to console him but he knew that Max had some feelings about Alison in his heart. Finally, they slept but, Max was waiting for Jones to sleep and as he slept, Max called Alison and started to talk to her. Jones was overhearing this conversation and it reinforces his suspicion.

It was their last day on the island and they had their flight on the next day. Max started to feel his desperation rising once again. He didn’t want to depart from Alison, but, he didn’t know why. He wasn’t ready to accept it as signs of love so he didn’t know why. This was his last day with Alison and he wasn’t sure if they could ever meet again. She was talking to her constantly as if he has no time but too much to share. Jones was watching this and had understood his feelings. Alison was also noticing this desperation of Max, but she didn’t say anything.

That day they didn’t go anywhere. They just sat in the lawn of hotel yard and talked the whole day.

Max hadn’t understood his love for Alison, yet he had seen the resemblance of Mia in Alison’s behavior. Time had setup everything to make Max realize his love for Alison and time was going to prove it. Max, Alison and others’ were there to enjoy, so, they didn’t listened to news or read newspaper. Cyclonic Storm Laila was ascending toward the island and it was an alert for the tourists on the island. Maximum tourist flew back to their home on that day since it was announced that the last flight will depart at nine at night on that day and after that the next flight was after the passing of the storm.
